2 cups cooked turkey or chicken, cubed or shredded
1 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (divided into 1 cup and 1/2 cup)
2 handfuls French's Fried onions, 1 crushed
1 can cream of whatever you like soup
1/2 can milk
1 tsp dried thyme
2 cups frozen vegetables of your choice
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
In a 2-qt casserole (greased), combine soup, milk, thyme, 1 cup cheese and crushed fried onions. Stir in vegetables and turkey. Cover and bake 30 minutes at 375. Remove from oven. Slice the crescent roll dough into STRIPS (ignore the perforations) and make a "lattice" crust on top. Return to oven, UNCOVERED, 10 more minutes. Remove and add the 1/2 cup cheese and the second handful of fried onions. Bake 5 more minutes.

oh my goodness! This was really good! I have always made something like this with Bisquick on the top, but it was 10 times better with Crescents on top.
Thanks!
